PTIT and Qualcomm successfully organized international scientific conference “Technologies in the digital era”

On August 15, 2022, in Hanoi, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) cooperated with Qualcomm Corporation to organize an international scientific conference with the theme “Technologies in the digital era”. This event is part of a series of activities to celebrate PTIT’s 25th anniversary. Attendants of the seminar included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of PTIT; Ms. Nguyen Thanh Thao, Business Development Manager, Qualcomm Vietnam and senior experts of Qualcomm, including Dr. Hoang Hung Hai, Product Manager Marketing, the key speaker of the event.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of PTIT affirmed: With the theme “Technologies in the digital era”, the conference is expected to bring experts, researchers, teachers and students extensive and in-depth perspectives on global technology trends, especially technologies of Qualcomm in the digital era. PTIT hopes that this will make an important contribution to PTIT’s implementation of development strategy. The event is also expected to bring the best experiences, contributing to the growing community of technology experts, researchers and students in the field of engineering and technology.

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Thao, Business Development Manager of Qualcomm Vietnam emphasized: “We are living in a digital era with the outstanding development of 5G, IoT, AI and cloud computing technologies, Qualcomm hopes that through this activity, we can promote innovative ideas, contributing to quickly turning Vietnam into a technology powerhouse not only in Asia but also in the whole world. The cooperation with PTIT will help us realize this vision. Specifically, Qualcomm has recently accompanied and supported 4 research projects of PTIT in the fields of 5G, AI, IoT, UA”. At the same time, she also shared: “Today’s event in the series of activities to celebrate PTIT’s 25th anniversary. This is a very meaningful event for us to have the opportunity to bring and share experience for PTIT students about technology trends in the digital era. I also express my deep gratitude to PTIT leadership for constantly conquering their vision and mission to bring PTIT to the present day, has trained many generations of engineers as well as quality human resources for society, contributing to making Vietnam a technological powerhouse in the world”.

At the seminar, senior experts of Qualcomm and lecturers of PTIT introduced the topics: “Qualcomm’s technologies in the digital era”, “Trends in researching new generation of telecommunications technologies”, “Telecommunication network infrastructure in digital transformation”, “Research orientation of the telecommunications industry and cooperation projects with Qualcomm”. Besides, students, lecturers, representatives of PTIT’s research groups attending the seminar can exchange with leading science and technology experts from domestic and foreign enterprises.
