SEMINAR ON “SHARING EXPERIENCES ON STUDYING INTERNATIONAL ACCOUNTING STANDARDS “

Recently, the seminar on “Sharing experiences on studying international accounting standards” was held at Hanoi campus. This is an activity within the framework of cooperation program between the Faculty of Finance and Accounting 1 – Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) and The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Attending the seminar were the leading representatives of two sides.

At the seminar, Ms. Khuat Thi Lien Huong, FCCA, Senior Business Relations Manager, shared with students the knowledge about “Trends in developing accounting and auditing professions in Vietnam toward the standardization and the development of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in Vietnam”. After the seminar, Ms. Khuat Thi Lien Huong said “I was extremely impressed by PTIT’s accounting students. In order to be qualified for admission of PTIT, they had to achieve the total of scores on the entrance exam which is not inferior to any other universities for econimics. Besides that, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting 1 at PTIT also has a team of lecturers trained abroad with high qualities as well as practical experiences. These are great advantages so that students can be assured to study ACCA at PTIT. ”

Ms. Le Thi Anh, representative of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting 1, shared with students about the benefits of studying the International Accounting Standards Program at PTIT. In addition, students not only increased the knowledge sharing but also got the answer to their worries and concerns on pursuing the international accounting standards program at PTIT.

The seminar provided and strengthened student’s practical knowledges about accounting and auditing professions and the benefits of pursuing an international accounting standards program at PTIT. Futhermore, advices from experts at the seminar boosted their motivation and confidence when pursuing an international accounting standards program to achieve their dreams.

It is hoped that after attending the seminar, students will gain more knowledge as well as broaden the perspective in order to seize their opportunities on the profession development.
