Posts and Telecommunicatons Institute of Technology
On April 29, 2021, at the Hanoi campust, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) and Qualcomm Corporation held a meeting to discuss cooperation plans to improve the quality of training and research.
Attending the meeting, on the side of Qualcomm Corporation, there were Dr. An Chen, Vice President of Technology, Qualcomm Technology Licensing; Dr. Thieu Phuong Nam, General Director of Qualcomm Vietnam & Southeast Asia and other managers and experts of Qualcomm Corporation. On PTIT’s side, there was the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van San, Secretary of the Party Committee, President; Assoc. Prof.Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, Vice President and leaders of the faculties and functional departments.
At the meeting, the two sides agreed to cooperate with three main contents: Organizing seminars on technology in general for all students, with the participation of teaching from Qualcomm’s global technology experts; Organizing in-depth seminars on industries for students and lecturers of PTIT’s technical departments, with the participation of teaching by Qualcomm’s global in-depth technology experts; Cooperation in research and development, implementation of joint research projects with topics in priority fields of both sides such as AI, IoT, 5G, Mobile telecommunications, multimedia…
The two sides discussed and agreed on a cooperation plan to improve the quality of training and research. Faced with new opportunities and challenges in the digital transformation era, Qualcomm Corporation is committed to being ready to share experiences and support PTIT in activities to improve the quality of training and research.
The cooperation program with Qualcomm Corporation will make an important contribution to PTIT in implementing its development strategy, developing high-quality IT human resources for the country, contributing to promoting the development and application of high-quality IT human resources and to meet Vietnam’s demand for sustainable development and international integration.
