In May 2022, professors from the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) visited Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology to implement the cooperation activities between the two universities and discuss the possibilities of cooperation in the next stage.
As one of the key international partners of PTIT throughout the years, JAIST continues the cooperation activities with PTIT, especially the sponsorship programs for graduates students of PTIT.
In this visit to PTIT, professors from JAIST including Professor OGAWA Mizuhito, Professor Minh Nguyen, School of Information Science, worked with PTIT’s related faculties and departments including the Faculty of Information Technology 1, Faculty of Graduate Education, Department of S&T and International Cooperation. The discussion focused on the implementation of the cooperation activities in the past time and the ideas for the renewal of the MoU and the MoA between the two universities.
Professors from JAIST also took this opportunities to meet and set up interviews with candidate students who applied for the sponsorship program by JAIST to PTIT’s graduate students in the joint master program.
The visit marked an important step of cooperation between JAIST and PTIT with potentials of bringing more values and opportunities to PTIT students and staff.
JAIST has been ranked highly amongst Japanese Universities, coming 26th in Japan in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities (and 871st in the world). In UniRank‘s 2017 ranking of Japanese universities, JAIST came in 25th place and 130th in Asia.
