On October 19, 2022, Faculty of Information Technology 1 (Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology) held the awarding ceremony of the international standard programming contest – ICPC PTIT 2022 and met new students of the Faculty. Information Technology and Computer Science. Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Tu Minh Phuong – Chancellor of PTIT Council, Assoc. Prof. Dang Hoai Bac – President of PTIT, representatives from partner enterprises of the Faculty and many new students.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Tu Minh Phuong, congratulated the excellent students of of Information Technology and Computer Science, when they was admitted to the two majors with the highest entrance standards of PTIT. Prof. Dr. Tu Minh Phuong emphasized “You have heard a lot about digital transformation, this is a very big transformation and when you have been accepted into these two training disciplines, you will become the center and will participate in that transition. Today, many representatives of bigtech corporations have welcomed you at this event, which means that after 3-4 years, your job opportunities in these large corporations and enterprises will be widely opened. Therefore, from now on, let’s try to constantly learn, explore and create to come up with the new knowledge.”
According to a report at the ceremony, the 2022 ICPC PTIT contest attracted the registration of 132 teams with 396 students, including 122 teams from Hanoi campus and 10 teams from Ho Chi Minh City campus. This is an annual activity organized by the Faculty of Information Technology 1 to improve programming skills for engineering. From the results of the exam, the Faculty of Information Technology 1 will select the best students to continue training and preparing for the PTIT’s team to participate in domestic and international ICPC contest.

The final round of the 2022 ICPC – PTIT programming contest was officially held on October 9, 2022. The organizer awarded the Champion Prize to team 812 including following students: Nguyen Thanh Chau (D19CNPM3), Tran Duc Huy (D20CQCN01), Tran Phuong Nhi (E21CQCN04); the First Prize for the <ProPTIT/> Choker_Squad team consisting of following students: Dang Phuong Nam (D20CQCN01), Truong Quang Huy (D20CQCN06), Nguyen Duc Anh (D20CQCN08). Besides, the organizer also awarded: 4 Second Prizes, 6 Third Prizes and 18 Consolation Prizes and additional prizes: 3G Prize, Dedication Award, Potential Award to the participating teams.
Also at the ceremony, 20 new students in the class of 2022 with high entrance scores for admission to the fields of Information Technology, High Quality Information Technology and Computer Science were awarded scholarships.
