The leaders of Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology and Gunma Prefecture (Japan) discussed future directions for collaboration in developing human resources

On April 23, 2024, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) welcomed a delegation from the leadership of Gunma Prefecture, Japan, to PTIT’s campus Hanoi. During the meeting, both sides discussed human resource development in fields such as science and technology, innovation, semiconductor production, new energy (hydrogen), renewable energy, green economy, digital economy, among others.

The delegation from Gunma Prefecture was led by Mr. Akihiro Sato, Head of the Foreign Affairs Promotion Department, along with his assistant, Mr. Masashi Higashino. The PTIT side was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, the Institute’s President, and representatives from relevant departments.

The discussion focused on the effectiveness of cooperation since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between PTIT and Gunma University on June 27, 2022, and the direction of future activities. Both parties expressed warm wishes and exchanged pleasantries.

The Electrical – Electronics Engineering Faculty at PTIT currently offers two majors: Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology and Control Engineering and Automation, with a total of 2900 students. The quality of electrical and electronic engineering training at PTIT is highly regarded within the student community and industry. The Institute follows an international standard training model with flexible and updated programs. Students have the opportunity to learn from experienced faculty members and have internships at leading companies in the field.

 

Gunma Prefecture, located in the Kanto region of Japan, is providing numerous job opportunities for Vietnamese workers in electronics and information technology. With a developed economy and diverse labor needs, Gunma is becoming an attractive destination for Vietnamese workers seeking new opportunities.

On December 6, 2023, PTIT also inaugurated a Research and Training Cooperation Office at Gunma University to facilitate scientific research, student and faculty exchange, and joint training programs.

 

At the end of the meeting, both parties expressed hope for further opportunities to promote cooperation and achieve significant success in the future. They look forward to a strong and sustainable development of the relationship between PTIT and Gunma Prefecture.
