On November 29, 2022, in Hanoi, Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) welcomed the Professor John Anchor, Associate Dean of School of Business, the University of Huddersfields (the United Kingdom) to visit PTIT.

In implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in training cooperation signed by PTIT and the University of Huddersfields on January 18, 2022, further step have been made with direct visit to PTIT from the University of Huddersfields and an organisation of a joint discussion on FinTech.

After the meeting with PTIT leaders, Professor John Anchor, Associate Dean of School of Business, the University of Huddersfields joined a discussion on FinTech Career and Study Opportunities implemented by the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, in cooperation with financial experts from businesses such as Military Bank. The discussion was organised with the desire to help students studying Financial Technology at PTIT grasp the development trend of the industry at home and abroad, realize their own potential, meet the needs of customers.

With employers and development opportunities in the international arena, Faculty of Finance and Accounting 1 organized the “Fintech Discussion: Fintech Career and Study Opportunities”. The seminar with the presence of teachers, lecturers, representatives of famous units in the Technology – Finance industry, especially speakers from Business School, University of Huddersfield – UK who answered questions in the hearts of the students, helping them to orient the future.

PTIT and the University of Huddersfields agreed to have training cooperation in the form of 2 + 2 (2 years in Vietnam and 2 years in the UK) and 3+1 (3 years in Vietnam and 1 year in the UK). Students who meet the graduation requirements will be awarded degrees by both the UoH and PTIT. Especially, after graduating, bachelors can continue to study Master of Financial Technology at UoH. The cooperation aims atestablishing a framework for bilateral cooperation to promote activities including transfer, bachelor’s and master’s training, research cooperation between two universities.
