On July 16, 2022, Google I/O Extended Hanoi 2022 – Technology and Connection Day for developers and technology enthusiasts took place at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT). Attending the event were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh – Vice president of PTIT, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy – Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC) and senior experts of Google.
Google I/O Extended is the extended and localized version of Google I/O, with the view to updating new technology and appropriate topics to meet the demand of the local community. The year 2022 will be marking the seventh year of the event’s presence in Hanoi, with the greatest scale in the country.

Google I/O Extended Hanoi 2022 is “The Convention of Technology and Connection’ for the community, with 3 main topics, including: Web technologies, Android, AI/ML, alongside with a series of exhibitions to connect the IT community. The event is expected to welcome more than +500 participants, 15 speakers & experts, 10 exhibition booths, 10 partners, media agencies & news outlets.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice president emphasized that PTIT was honor to become the co-organizer with Google in the year’s biggest technology connection convention – Google I/O Extended 2022. PTIT hopes that this event will bring the best experiences, contributing to the growing community of developers and students and developing high-quality IT human resources.
The main theme of the event is divided into 3 theme rooms: Red Room: Ceurrent trend of new technologies; In-depth sharing articles about the web, How to become a Google Developer Expert; Green Room: In-depth articles on artificial intelligence (AI/machine learning); Blue Room: In-depth sharing articles about Google Play Sevices. The rooms are attended by a large number of participants, especially young developers.
With the slogan “Be better together” from GDG Hanoi, the Google I/O Extended Hanoi 2022 event held at PTIT is an opportunity for the developer community in Vietnam to meet and exchange knowledge, thereby bringing the technology advancements closer to the whole society.
