On April 25, 2024, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) welcomed and worked with the delegation from Seoul Cyber University, Korea. During the meeting, both parties discussed numerous significant aspects related to the implementation of collaborative activities in recent time and future plans for cooperative projects and programs.
Participants attending the meeting from the PTIT included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh – Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Quoc Dung – Acting Director of the Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications (RIPT), Dr. Doan Hieu – Director of the Posts and Telecommunications Training Center 1 (PTTC1), Dr. Do Trung Anh – Deputy Director of the Department of Science Technology Management and International Cooperation, along with representatives from relevant departments and units. As for Seoul Cyber University (SCU), the delegation included Dr. Koo Gugmo – Vice President for External Affairs, Dr. Park Chansoo – Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Dr. Nam Sanggyu – Director of the Strategic Planning Office. Both sides expressed pleasureto join the meeting and conveyed best wishes to each other.
Throughout the discussion, both parties emphasized the strong dedication to collaborative activities since August 8, 2023. Notably, since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in December 2023, cooperative activities have been actively prepared and conducted according to the set plans. SCU also expressed appreciation for the PTIT’s commitment and efforts in implementing the activities so far. According to the signed MoU, both parties undertook to closely collaborate on training programs and joint research activities. Furthermore, PTIT expressed its aspirations to cooperate with SCU in areas such as lecturer and student exchange, digital learning materials, training courses, e-learning, research collaboration, and participation in key projects. In addition, both sides committed to enhance cooperation through organizing international conferences, providing advice, and technical assistance for online education, among other activities.
Representatives from the two universities also agreed on building positive outcomes for projects such as the ITPC initiative and both parties looked forward to further cooperation, including joint training programs in the form of 2 + 2 for Information Technology and Business Administration, as well as collaboration in projects of KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) and NIA (National Information Society Agency) Korea.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides reached a mutual agreement on the upcoming activities and expressed strong confidence in the effectiveness and success of the cooperative programs in the coming time.
