Wrapping-up of the project “Promoting the EU and European higher education visibility among universities in Vietnam through multimedia communications”

From October 14, 2022 to October 16, 2022, Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) organized the EU day and ProEUHE project summary at Quy Nhon Science Space Complex, Binh Dinh Province.

The participants of the conference included Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of PTIT, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Huu Hanh, Director of the Center of International Education (CIE), Head of the Project Coordination Unit, representatives of departments, as well as members of the project.

At the event, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Huu Hanh summarized the project’s activities, assessed lessons learned and shared the project’s results. Accordingly, the project has organized outstanding activities such as Organizing EU Day events to introduce and provide information through the form of multimedia content to help students to have more opportunities to participate in practical experience with many multimedia applications, to discover and better understand the culture and education of countries in the European Union; Organizing multimedia summer school events for students, Organizing internationalization experience sharing events for universities in Vietnam with the participation of international representatives and universities in Vietnam; Organizing short-term training courses with the participation of experts from embassies, educational institutions from the EU; Building multimedia publications including the website https://proeuhe.net/, 20 video clips and games promoting Europe on social media channels (YouTube, Facebook).

In the remarks at the event, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of PTIT acknowledged the efforts of the project implementation team to achieve the success of the project, even though the project took place during the hard time of the Covid-19 pandemic. The project was also considered as a great contribution to PTIT’s development of international network with an innovative approach to get noticeable results. On behalf of PTIT’s leadership, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Quang Anh expressed thanks and appreciations to Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Program, ProEUHE’s partners as well as implementers for the opportunities and the achievements of the project.

ProEUHE project is a EU-funded project within the framework of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Program, with a high level of competition in the number of applications from countries around the world. PTIT is honored to be among 360 projects selected from a total of 1,447 valid applications, with a score of 91/100.

The success of the project will be followed up with PTIT’s continuation to be funded to by the Erasmus+ Program with the project “DigiEU – European Digital Strategy and its Impact to the Digital Transformation agenda in Vietnam”, also led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Huu Hanh, Director of CIE. The project will be implemented in 36 months from November 2022 to November 2025.
