The new major of PTIT – IoT technology plans to enroll 75 students in 2022

In 2022, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) plans to enroll and train two new majors, IoT technology and Data science-oriented Computer Science. In which, the expected target of IoT technology major is 75.

On the afternoon of February 25, PTIT announced the expected enrollment method of regular university system in 2022 with various new forms.

Besides 12 majors that have been enrolled in previous years, in 2022, PTIT will recruit and train the major of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, with the expected target of 75 students and will only recruit students to train at the Hanoi campus.

In addition, PTIT is also planning to enroll and train students in the major of data science-oriented Computer Science starting in 2022.

The total number of expected enrollment target for regular university system in 2022 is 3,820 for both training campuses in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

In the new annoucement, PTIT also said that this year, the university applies 4 enrollment methods, including direct admission according to the enrollment regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and according to the PTIT’s enrollment scheme; admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam in 2022; admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam in 2022; and admission based on the results of the aptitude test. Thus, compared to last year, the enrollment method has been expanded, adding an admission method based on the results of the competency assessment exams.

As for the high-quality program, in 2022, the Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology will continue to recruit students for the advanced IT program, with an expected target of 300 students. Along with that, this year, the university is also expected to start enrolling and training a advanced program in Digital Marketing.

Regarding the scholarship policy, in 2022, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology will supplement the maximum 30 scholarships with a total value of about 3 billion VND. Subjects to be considered for this special scholarship are the candidates who participated in the national team selection exam for the International Olympic Games, and the candidates who won the first, second and third prizes in the national competition for excellent students in various subjects such as Math, Physics, Chemistry and Informatics. With this special scholarship, candidates will be exempted from tuition fees for the entire study period, in which they must ensure that their cumulative grade point average for the consecutive year is excellent or higher.

In addition, the university continues to maintain the scholarship policy with 100% tuition fee waiver and 50% tuition fee waiver in the first year of study for candidates with high achievements (winning international and national awards) or achieving high results in the high school graduation exam.
