From December 18 to 19, 2021, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) in collaboration with the Vietnam Informatics Association successfully organized the Northern Region ICPC Programming Contest 2021.
The Northern ICPC programming exam 2021 has the participation of 519 teams with over 1,500 candidates, 184 teams of which are students from 51 gifted high schools nationwide. The contest takes place online for 5 hours from 8:00 to 13:00, on which each team would solve over 13 problems about algorithm and programming under strict requirements: perfection, speed, teamwork on a set of problems in English. This is an opportunity to practice together in the ranking contest and get ready to step into the world-class programmer playground.
In order to successfully organize the Northern ICPC Contest, Posts and Telecommunications Technology Instiute of Technology designed, installed and deployed the entire system including 03 main servers and 30 marking machines, ensuring the contest ran smoothy and fairly.
The PTIT Code Client application was first used at the ICPC contests in Vietnam and received positive feedback from the Informatics Association as well as the participating candidates. This application was designed by the Faculty of Information Technology 1 on the basis of ICPC marking platform developed from DMOJ.
Previously, the southern and central rounds on the DOM Judge system had problems with “congestion, slowness” when hanlding a large number of scores from over 400 teams, but the new system with the development on DMOJ can smoothly handle. In addition, the DMOJ can allow the installation of anti-cheat solutions and other utilities without affecting the team’s submission process.
Northern region ranking results as follows:
The National Informatics Olympiad for students and the ICPC ASIA Hanoi International Programming Contest 2021 is scheduled to take place from March 8-12, 2022.
