ADSE 2020 ENABLEMENT TRAINING

17 June 2020 – PTIT students as well as PTIT lecturers and staff joined a training on Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) Analytic Cloud at the Cyber Security Lab of PTIT.

The training was conducted by Ms. Dao Thu Huong, Solutions Advisor – Platform and Analytics of SAP Asia Pte Ltd and Mr. Ilan Asqolani, Senior Project Officer of ASEAN Foundation. The aim of the training was to prepare the trainers to train the students for the ADSE Competition 2020 that is currently open for participation until 30 June 2020.

As part of the competition, the participants were to submit a storyboard and the announcement of the National Finalists – Top 10 per country, will be announced. The shortlisted finalists will then compete regionally where the winners will represent their respective country in the final quarter of 2020 in Hanoi. PTIT was chosen to be the host of the regional round in 2020 for 10 ASEAN member countries.

The ASEAN Data Science Explorers (ADSE) is jointly organised by SAP and ASEAN Foundation across all 10 ASEAN member states. It is a regional competition that encourages participants to deliver data-driven insights which highlight issues in ASEAN across six United Nation Sustainable Development Goals. Youths leverage on SAP Analytics Cloud software to derive data-driven insights and innovative solutions for the region’s most pressing societal problems such as youth unemployment, neonatal mortality and waste generation.
