From March 23, 2020, after a period of preparation, the Institute of Posts and Telecommunications Technology (PTIT) began deploying the online learning for more than 10,000 full-time students. The software supporting online learning currently selected by PTIT is TranS.
To participate in online lectures, the students need to install and use the TranS software which allows a teaching and learning interface
Regarding the online education plan, the Institute implemented the online teaching and learning methods for theoretical and practical classes from 23 March 2020.
The online teaching and learning plan was in accordance with the second semester curriculum of the 2019-2020 school year published on the Training Management System, which fully meets the teaching quality conditions.
PTIT lecturers and students conducted online classes by using the software deployed by PTIT follow the plan.
In particular, according to Deputy Director Vu Tuan Lam, e-learning will be conducted via TranS software and supported through an online learning management system – LMS started from 13th week (from March 23, 2020) with a number of theory/exercise classes, such as information systems security, information hiding techniques, information security basis, introduction to artificial intelligence, computer networks, mobile application development, multimedia applications in business, etc.
Regarding to TranS, the software is currently used by the Institute to organize the online teaching, which allows lecturers and students work together simultaneously through the use of computers and smartphones well connected to the Internet and fully equipped with the microphones and speakers.

PTIT is also using an online learning management system to support online learning for students. Accordingly, lecturers are responsible for adequately providing learning materials and supports through the LMS system. By logging into the LMS system, students could receive online lectures, exercises, questions … to study their subjects and discuss with the lecturers.
In addition, lecturers are encouraged to effectively use a variety of online methods in order to support for teaching activities.
Sharing more with ICTnews, the PTIT representative said that the Institute has carefully prepared in order to organize online learning such as: conducting surveys, collecting lecturers and students’s opinions about their readiness as well as technical facilities for online teaching and learning; creating the plan; finding suitable solutions which allow thousands of students studying at the same time; etc.
