VINTECH TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT JOINT STOCK COMPANY GIVES A SCHOLARSHIP OF 240,000 USD TO ASEAN STUDENTS STUDYING IN ENGLISH BY ENGLISH AT PTIT

On May 22, 2019, at Hanoi campus, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology and Vintech Technology Development Joint Stock Company held a signing ceremony on ASEAN scholarships.

Attending the program there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van San, Secretary of the Party Committee, PTIT’s President, Ms. Truong Ly Hoang Phi – General Director of VinTech City, Dr. Tran Duc Lai, former Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Chairman of Vietnam Radio Association; Dr. Nguyen Minh Hong, former Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, President of Vietnam Digital Communications Association.

According to this memorandum, PTIT and Vintech agreed to successfully implement the English-language IT training program for ASEAN students at PTIT. On the PTIT side, IT training program will be taught in English for subjects eligible to participate in the program as prescribed, arrange Vietnamese lecturers and foreign lecturers in sufficient quantity and assured of professional qualifications and teaching experience to participate in the program, provide classes, seminar rooms, language practice rooms, computer laboratories, libraries and other facilities needed for the implementation of the program;

Vintech will provide 6 scholarships worth US $ 40,000 / year for 4-year training programs for students from ASEAN countries studying at PTIT, arrange internships for students to participate in the program according to Vintech’s competence and admission needs, and according to PTIT’s annual training plan provided, provide experts and highly qualified technical staff to participate in practical guidance activities for students and talks, sharing experiences for students, support PTIT to carry out field trips, practical experiences in businesses according to extracurricular plans for students participating in the program.

In his speech at the signing ceremony, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Vu Van San, Secretary of the Party Committee and PTIT’s President said that in recent years, with the mission and position as a key training and research unit of the Information and Communications industry, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology has built and established extensive cooperation relationships with many research organizations, many large organisations in the country and around the world. The cooperation with PTIT and Vintech not only demonstrates the great contribution of VinTech to the development of ICT human resources of the country and ASEAN countries, but also vividly demonstrates social responsibility to which a large enterprise like Vintech Company always aims to contribute more to the development of ICT industry.

It is known that these scholarships will be implemented from 2019. Besides, a number of other large enterprises will also sponsor this ASEAN scholarship in the near future.
