From May 16th to 18th, the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology organized the 2024 Capital Science and Technology Achievement Exhibition at the 258 Vo Chi Cong interdisciplinary area in Tay Ho, Hanoi. The exhibition featured 25 booths from 30 units, showcasing various distinctive and outstanding products in the field of science and technology such as AI, robotized process automation, digital mapping, and green technology. This year’s exhibition also saw the Academy presenting numerous products related to AI, Robotics, software, and more.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology, Nguyen Quoc Ha, stated that the exhibition aimed to introduce and promote outstanding scientific and technological achievements and innovations in Hanoi. The goal was to disseminate and popularize these achievements to attract active participation in scientific, technological, and innovative activities by organizations and individuals in the area. Additionally, the exhibition aimed to inspire a spirit of creative labor and scientific research among all people, especially the younger generation, contributing to the development of future scientific and technological personnel.
The Academy’s participation in the event also drew significant attention with its strong and appealing products such as ALDA AI – Digital Human, Cosign – an application supporting learning, translation, and sign language dictionary, TraceIT – a device for locating missing persons based on wifi signals, and aerial surveillance drones.
Notably, ALDA AI – Digital Human garnered considerable interest due to its high interactivity through direct conversation and high-fidelity display technology.
Digital humans are digital entities designed to simulate the appearance, behavior, and even thoughts of humans. Through the combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and image reconstruction technology, Alda AI can engage in real-time conversation, express emotions, perform facial gestures (nodding, blinking, smiling, etc.), and even learn from interactions with humans. Furthermore, Alda is integrated with the ability to mimic the voice and intonation of the subject, enhancing the authenticity of the digital entity.
The Academy also presented the results of scientific and technological tasks, as well as ideas for scientific and technological products from various educational institutions, research institutes, scientific and technological enterprises, innovative startups, and scientific and technological organizations. These products are the outcomes of the intellectual property development program for faculty members and students of the Academy.
