On May 14, 2024, the signing Memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology and EON Reality Vietnam Joint Stock Company was successfully held. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Tran Duc Lai, Former Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Chairman of the Vietnam Telecommunications Authority, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, Mr. Nguyen Hong Son, General Director of EON Reality Vietnam Joint Stock Company, and Mr. Dan Lejerskar, Chairman of EON Reality Global Corporation.

During the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President of PTIT, shared that the institute was established in 1997 and has become a leading training and research institution providing high-quality human resources for the industry and the country. He emphasized the significance of the cooperation agreement with EON Reality Vietnam in fulfilling the institute’s crucial tasks such as digital university development, digital transformation, support for training and research, and enhancing the quality of teaching and learning for the institute’s faculty and students.

 

Mr. Nguyen Hong Son, General Director of EON Reality Vietnam, highlighted that the cooperation with the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology is essential for promoting innovation and application of AR VR technology in education and beyond. He emphasized that the collaboration aims to build projects and solutions for other educational institutions and different regions, contributing to EON Reality’s global content solution chain.

 

At the signing ceremony, both parties officially announced their collaboration to establish the first Spatial AI Center in Vietnam, which will be located at PTIT. The center will be equipped with state-of-the-art VR, AR, and AI facilities to facilitate research, development, and application of virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence solutions in education and teaching.

Dr. Tran Duc Lai, Former Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Chairman of the Vietnam Telecommunications Authority, praised the significance of the cooperation in advancing the fields of information and communication technology in Vietnam and specifically in higher education. He emphasized that PTIT is at the forefront of digital university development, aligning with the government’s strategy for digital transformation in education.

 

The cooperation between PTIT and EON Reality Vietnam includes various aspects such as applying EON-XR platform in teaching and learning, developing digital university solutions, outsourcing digital educational materials production, and expanding collaborative projects in education and teaching. The collaboration between PTIT and EON Reality Vietnam marks a significant milestone in advancing technology-enhanced education in Vietnam and beyond
