Recently, in Quang Nam, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) collaborated with Quang Nam University to organize The National Scientific Conference on “Digital transformation in higher education: theory and practical implementation in Vietnam.” The seminar was attended by Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Nam province, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac – Director of PTIT, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Trong Duong – Rector of Quang Nam University, and many scientists and researchers from various universities and research institutes nationwide.

 

The seminar served as a scientific forum for scientists, managers, lecturers, research students, and postgraduate students from colleges, universities, and research institutes to share and exchange academic knowledge, research experience, research findings, insights, and opinions on the theory and practice, as well as related policies regarding digital transformation in higher education.

The panel discussion of the seminar included speakers from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology and Quang Nam University, namely Dr. Ngo Quoc Dung – Deputy Director in charge of the Reseach Institute of Posts and Telecommunications (PTIT), Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Quyen – Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communication Technology of Quang Nam province, Dr. Pham Nguyen Hong Ngu – Deputy Rector of Quang Nam University, Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien – Director of the Institute of Information Technology and Communication (PTIT), and Dr. Vo Thi Hoa – Head of the Management and External Relations Department of Quang Nam University.

The seminar received nearly 100 papers from scientists, researchers, scholars, and lecturers from universities and research institutes from various provinces and cities across the country. Seven papers were presented at the seminar, attracting the interest and discussion of the participants. The analysis, sharing, and synthesis of new and valuable scientific issues were conducted, along with recommendations for practical and effective directions and solutions to build a sustainable education system towards the goal of national development in the context of the strong advancement of digital technology.

At the conference, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Nam province, Tran Anh Tuan, congratulated Quang Nam University for successfully organizing the national seminar in collaboration with PTIT. He expressed hope that Quang Nam University will incorporate the outcomes of the seminar on digital transformation and application of digital technology into management, teaching, and scientific research, contributing to addressing the challenges at hand.

Within the framework of the program, PTIT has signed a cooperation agreement with Quang Nam University to implement conferences, seminars, and scientific forums related to the specialized fields of both parties. The collaboration also includes developing digital scientific journals, sharing experiences, and providing advice on implementing digital education solutions based on practical experiences and ongoing initiatives from both parties.
