PTIT AND IIG COOPERATE IN THE FIELD OF TRAINING, EXAMINATION, CERTIFICATE OF ENGLISH AND INFORMATICS

On October 26, 2018, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) and IIG Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation in the field of English language training and examination. The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Vu Van San, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Institute, Dr. Vu Tuan Lam, Deputy Director of the Institute; Mr. Doan Hong Nam, President of IIG Vietnam.

According to the memorandum of understanding, PTIT will set up the Center of International English and Information Technology Examination, which is authorized by IIG Vietnam to launch advertising, sales, support to organizing tests of International English and Informatics  provided by IIG Vietnam (including TOEIC test and TOEFL test systems and IC3, MOS and ACA tests.)

For cooperation in the field of English language training and examination, both Parties will collaborate to design programs, curricula, reference materials, and provide English language training courses at international standards at PTIT; organize training courses on English teaching methods for English lecturers and English language proficiency for PTIT’s lectures  from other faculty to meet international standards as required; At the same time, IIG will develop a standardized English language roadmap and coordinate with party A to organize a standard English test (graduation requirement) for students using the international TOEIC test.

For cooperation in the field of computer skills training, IIG will develop the standardized IT roadmap to announce the application of the International Informatics Standards of MOS (MOS), IC3 (Internet Computing Core Certification), ACA (Adobe Certified Associate) for PTIT students.

In addition, under this memorandum of understanding, both Parties will support each other in the activities of introducing, promoting image, enrollment information, training and services; seeking excellent students of PTIT to be recruited for IIG Vietnam as well as enterprises and training institutions that IIG Vietnam has coordinated recruitment programs; assigning PTIT students to participate in contests and events organized by the IIG (Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship –MOSWC, Adobe Certified Associate World Championship – ACAWC, Programm of TOEIC for Career).

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr Vu Van San, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of PTIT affirmed: With more than 20 years of building and development, up to now PTIT has achieved many successful outcomes in training and scientific research. There is a huge role of cooperation programs with partners contributing to such outcomes. The signing with IIG today will provide opportunities for officials, lecturers, students of the Institute improve their knowledge, skills and experience to meet the standards of English and International Informatics as required. At the same time, Director of PTIT affirmed, “PTIT engages to invest in facilities, equipment, computer rooms and qualified personnel to implement the contents signed by the two parties.”

Mr. Doan Hong Nam, President of IIG Vietnam, emphasized: “In the current trend of integration, application of standards for English and Computer-based learning outcomes to students is very important and will be a key success for students after graduation. IIG engages to providing solutions and develope appropriate roadmap for PTIT students to achieve the English and Computer-based learning outcomes after graduation. “
