According to the signed agreement, both parties will implement a 3+2 joint training program, in which students who complete their third year at PTIT will be considered for transfer to the University of Aizu for 2 years and receive a Master’s degree.

This joint program is designed for high-quality information technology students, including those enrolled in the Vietnam-Japan Information Technology Engineer Training Program, applied information technology, and telecommunications. PTIT students will have the opportunity to receive government scholarships (MEXT) and tuition waivers as well as living stipends. The University of Aizu also commits to facilitating connections with Japanese companies to provide employment opportunities for graduates in Japan.

Additionally, the cooperation agreement includes student exchange activities, internships, research internships, and thesis projects and defenses at the University of Aizu.

Located in Aizu-Wakamatsu city in central Japan, the University of Aizu is a public university established in 1993. It is the only university in Japan specializing exclusively in computer science. The university has a strong internationalization rate with 40% of its faculty being professors from the international community, and English is the primary language of instruction.

Prior to this, in 2008, the University of Aizu and PTIT signed a memorandum of cooperation and have extended it multiple times with a 5-year term. With the increasingly diverse Japanese-oriented training programs of PTIT in recent years, it is certain that the cooperation between the two parties in the upcoming period will yield noteworthy results, commensurate with the potential and advantages of PTIT and Aizu.
