Associate Professor Dang Hoai Bac, Director of the Institute, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

During the ceremony, the Institute’s Director highlighted its nationwide scale and influence, with two modern campuses in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, catering to a student body of 20,000. PTIT is recognized as one of the top 10 technology universities in Vietnam and is among the top 3 universities in the field of Information and Communication Technology, equipped with modern laboratories. In addition to its core programs in Information Technology, Telecommunications, and Electronics, PTIT has introduced new training programs to meet the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, such as Data Technology, IoT, AI Robotics, IC Design, Financial Technology, E-commerce, Digital Marketing, and Multimedia Communication. In 2024, PTIT also launched new programs in Public Relations, Vietnamese-Japanese Information Technology, and Game Design and Development.

The graduate students of the D19 engineering program faced unique challenges as nearly half of their study time was conducted online due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and prolonged social distancing measures. PTIT adjusted its academic plans accordingly, with many courses being delivered online and significant student events transitioning to virtual formats.

Throughout this period, PTIT provided comprehensive support to its students, including financial assistance, internet subsidies, and essential supplies for those unable to return home during social distancing measures in Hanoi. These timely interventions enabled both students and faculty to overcome difficulties and excel in their academic pursuits. As a result, the number of students receiving annual accolades from the Institute for the 2019 class was relatively high compared to previous years, with many student groups being recognized for their outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements. At the end of the academic year, PTIT awarded certificates of commendation to 158 students for their outstanding performance in academics, research, and overall development.

The D19 students had the opportunity to experience PTIT’s digital transformation initiatives through platforms such as S-Link, D-Lab, and PTIT Ami Chatbot. S-Link engaged tens of thousands of accounts and facilitated millions of interactions since its launch in 2021. D-Lab’s virtual practice system boasted over 16,000 accounts and offered more than 3,000 programming exercises daily. Additionally, PTIT conducted over 700 online courses and more than 3,000 practical sessions with the participation of over 80 instructors. These digital initiatives have provided students with valuable experiences and equipped them with new skills.

In his congratulatory address at the ceremony, Director Dang Hoai Bac commended the academic achievements and research contributions of the new PhDs, Masters, and Engineers throughout their educational journey at PTIT. He emphasized that this day marked a significant milestone as they completed their five-year tenure at the institute, laying a foundation for their future personal and professional growth. He encouraged them to carry forward not only knowledge and skills but also joy and laughter from their time at PTIT.
