The international Research Lab on Artificial Intelligence was officially launched at Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) on the morning of May 27. This activity marked the beginning of the cooperation between Naver and PTIT in the future.

Due to the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic and to ensure the health and safety of the delegates, the launching ceremony of International Research Laboratory on Artificial Intelligence at Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) took place online.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong – Chairman of Vietnam Digital Media Association; Mr. Vu Van San – Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Academy; Mr. Tu Minh Phuong – Chairman of the Academy Council, Mr. Dang Hoai Bac – Vice President of the Academy and representative of Naver Vietnam – Ms. Dang Thieu Ngan – Director of External Relations. In addition, CEO of NAVER Group (Korea) – Mr. Choi In Hyuk, Chairman of the Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association – Mr. Tran Duc Lai sent a congratulatory video.

International Research Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence is the first collaborative project between Naver Corporation and PTIT. With this activity, PTIT will officially join the “Global AI R&D Belt” of Naver.

Before the Lab was officially launched on May 27, PTIT’s technology experts collaborated with Naver Labs Europe’s team leaders to carry out the first research projects. It is expected that these studies will make a significant contribution to the digitalization process in Vietnam, and at the same time contribute to turning the country of more than 96 million people into a global player in artificial intelligence in the early next decade. .
