Posts and Telecommunicatons Institute of Technology
From February 17th to February 28th, 2019, 10 chosen excellent Information Technology and Information Security students from PTIT together with 10 students from SIT participated in Global Project Based Learning (gPBL) 2019. This program was cooperated by Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) and Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) with a sponsor from Co-Well Asia Company.
Vietnamese students and Japanese students were divided into 5 groups, each group contained 4 students from both countries. Every group had their own way to approach the task, analyze data from the database and make hypothesis about the reason why Cowell employees resigned. Thus, there were a lot of differences between groups’ result. However, every group completed the tasks successfully and received many positive comments from SIT professors and Co-Well Asia staffs.
In this memorial time in Japan, PTIT’s students not only spent all their time studying and programming but also visited Co-well Asia workspace in Shinagawa and listened to Vietnamese programmers’ stories in Japan. They had a valuable trip to National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation and are amazed by a lot of state-of-the-art technology.
After gPBL 2019, PTIT’s students learnt more knowledge about how to develop a web application, as well as worked and helped each other to solve their problem. After all, they just not completed the tasks successfully but got better understanding about each other as well.
“We lived together in 12 days, shared stories about our dreams, our future and our lives which apparently made us closer. The experiences living in Japan gave us a lot of knowledge about this beautiful country” – gPBL scholarship students said after the trip.
