According to the new results of the annual Webometrics’s rankings in January 2019, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology ranked 9th standing among top 10 universities in Vietnam, up 3 ranks compared to its position in 2018.
According to the evaluation period in January 2019, 134/235 universities and institutes in Vietnam were evaluated by Webometrics. Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology was ranked 9th among top universities in Vietnam, with the improvement ranking in three-thirds evaluation indexes, including the index of presence, impact and academic excellence rank.

Webometrics is the ranking web of initiative universities in analyzing online data sources, so that the statistics are evaluated an unprecedented amount of educational institutions. Up to this ranking period, Webometrics collected data from more than 28,000 universities worldwide based on selected indicators.
Webometrics evaluates the institutions based on the online resource of its activities including 4 indicators, including: Appearance – Presence: the number of sub-websites (subwebsites) corresponding to main website of university; Impact index: the number of backlinks from other websites pointing to the main website of university; Openess Index: the number of files in pdf, word, excel format is published on the website; Exellence of Scholar index: based on the scientific work published the scopus indexed journal.
Within reaching the top 10 leading universities in Vietnam of Webometrics’ ranking in January 2019, Posts and Telecommunications Technology is setting new goals for the period of 2019-2020 with diversifying and opening new training fields to meet social needs in the era of Industry 4.0; improving the capacity of Scientific Research, enhancing the efficiency of science services according to enterprise orders; promoting international cooperation activities and joint training in the fields which the Institute has strengths and potentials …
