The U.S. Embassy in Vietnam announces the selection of candidates for the Fulbright Vietnamese Visiting Student Researcher Program (VSR). This program offers up to 5 full scholarships each year for doctoral students in the field of Science and Technology at a university in Vietnam to conduct research for 6 to 10 months at a U.S. university for the 2025 academic year.
The VSRs will work with a professor at a U.S. university and will not take classes for credit. As research is a full-time activity, VSRs are not allowed to engage in other employment opportunities. VSRs are expected to start the program within the academic year of U.S. universities (from August to May). The Fulbright scholarship is a cultural and academic exchange program, so VSRs must reside in the city where the host university is located and engage with the local community in the U.S.
