Posts and Telecommunication Institute of Technology hosted the seminar namely “Boosting teaching/learning capacities through international cooperation” from 23 to 25 August, 2018 in Hochiminh City. This is an activity within the framework of the Marco Polo project, a project to strengthen the capacity of international cooperation of Universities in Southeast Asia.

Attending the workshop were Dr. Tan Hanh, Vice President of the Institute, Mr. John Anthony Cleary, Associate Professor of Faculty of Culture and Language Studies, Heriot Watt University, UK, and staffs and lecturers of Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology.

At the workshop, staff, lecturers and students of PTIT had the opportunity to learn and share their experiences in teaching and learning through successful models in international cooperation from Heriot-Wat University in order to develop and enhance the internationalisation capacites. In addition, the workshop helps the member schools of the project in particular and Southeast Asian universities in general to develop and enhance the ability of international cooperation.

The Marco Polo project is funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program, which includes four partners from Europe and six partners from Asia. European partners are: University of Seville, Spain; Herriot-Watt University, Scotland; FH Joaneum University, Austria and Incoma, Spain. Asian partners include Prince of Songkla University, Naresuan University, Thailand; University of Malaya and University of Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. Vietnam has 2 representatives participating in this project, including Hanoi University and Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology. The project lasts for three years from 2016 to 2019, including training and exchange of students and lecturers.
