Recently, at the Hanoi training base, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) held the final round of the “Robot Programming for 2024” competition. This is the second year that the institute has organized the inter-school competition, expanding the participation to students from across the country. In addition to the PTIT students, the competition attracted 20 teams from other universities such as the University of Technology (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), Electric Power University, and Phennika University. The competition was sponsored by Agest Vietnam Company, Man to Man Company, KIS Vietnam Creative Solutions Company, and NTTe-MOI Joint Stock Company.

The competition consisted of two rounds: the Preliminary round and the Final round. In the Preliminary round, the teams participated in a Hackathon format, where they were provided with hardware to program, test, and compete within 4 hours and 30 minutes. Each team had three attempts, and the top 8 teams with the best times advanced to the next round. After the Preliminary round, the organizers handed over all the hardware and maps to the 8 qualifying teams for the Final round.

The Final round took place in a competitive format, with the 8 teams divided into 2 groups for a round-robin competition to select the top 4 teams for the semi-finals, and then the top 2 teams for the final match.

The competition was filled with excitement and determination as the teams successfully overcame challenging obstacles such as stairs, sharp turns, and blurry paths to reach the finish line in the shortest time possible. Throughout the competition, there were dramatic and spectacular moments with continuous impressive comebacks. All 8 teams truly shined, showcasing not only their individual characteristics but also their creativity and intelligent problem-solving skills.
