One of the development orientations of the Faculty of Information Security under Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) is to become the leading unit in information security training nationwide in terms of scale and quality.

The PTIT University Council has just issued the resolution on the establishment and regulation of the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Faculty of Information Security. Accordingly, one of the development orientations of the Faculty of Information Security is to become the leading unit in information security training nationwide in terms of scale and quality.

In the project document for the establishment of the Faculty of Information Security, PTIT has clearly stated that the development goal of the faculty in the period of 2022 – 2025 is to strengthen the organizational structure, develop the teaching staff, adjust and implement the training program and gradually increase the enrollment scale to 450-500 students by 2025.

The development vision of the Faculty of Information Security in the period 2025 – 2030 is to stabilize the scale, develop a team of highly qualified lecturers and and promote in-depth research and development on information security.

The specific orientations of the Faculty of Information Security is to promote the activities of information security labs; develop national information security products; build 1-2 international training programs related to information security and affirm the position of the leading information security training faculty in the region.

Before that, since 2013, PTIT has been allowed by the Ministry of Education and Training to open the Information Security major, subject code 7480202, with the first enrollment of 131 students.

The number of enrollments in the Information Security major at PTIT has increased gradually over the years and is currently stable at 300 students at both training campuses in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The Information Security major’s admission score is also always in the highest tops.
