Hanoi Campus of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology and Motorola Solutions Vietnam Company Limited co-organized the Launching Ceremony of Motorola Scholarship and research funding program 2017 for advanced ICT education on July 12, 2017. Representatives of the two parties were present at the event.

This is the second consecutive years Motorola provided funding to the advanced ICT development research and scholarship program of the Institute. Funding by Motorola Solutions was aimed at encouraging and promoting research on ICT conducted by students and lecturers, creating favorable conditions for the Institute’s students and lecturers to have opportunities of academic exchange, knowledge updating and participation in high-level research and development activities. With the funding provided by Motorola Solutions to the Institute this year, one of three key contents to be focused is to provide funding to research groups giving feasible proposals and to the IoT (Internet of Things) Competition, and grant Motorola scholarships to outstanding students.

In particular, the Motorola Solutions 2017 funding program will finance the IoT Products Competition. Specifically, the program will support a part of expenses for groups of students researching product design, manufacturing and development so that they can take part in the IoT Competition.

As planned, in June 2017, the Institute held a seminar to introduce the program, appeal research proposals and announce organization of Motorola IoT Competition. In July 2017, it will announce research proposals which are going to be financed. Final round of the Motorola IoT Competition will be organized in November 2017 and the Closing Ceremony will be organized in December 2017.
