Hanoi Campus of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology has just held a worshop of the MARCO POLO Project. Accordingly, the members discussed the plan of implementing project activities in the upcoming time.

The MARCO POLO Project is aimed to enhance the international cooperation capabilities of Universities in Asia and inter-Asia with Europe through activities such as training programs on building up international cooperation strategies and centers/departments in charge of international cooperation,  agreements and exchanging students and lecturers. unnamed

These activities which were implemented to enhance capabilities for international cooperation departments and international training centers (including staff and coordinators) are highlights of the project because they exert an influence over the academic community (students, teachers and researchers) and play a key role in international cooperation programs (student and lecturer exchange, diploma standardization and creation of multiple programs, establishment of groups of researching and recognizing degrees). Experts from EU partners who are experienced in implementing Emarus+ program will make great contributions to this project.

An alliance of 10 universities from 06 different countries (Spain, UK, Austria, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam) was formed, including 03 European universities very experienced in development of international cooperation programs and 06 Asian universities facing with challenges in international cooperation.

In Vietnam, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology and Hanoi University are beneficiaries of the project. The project will be carried out for 03 years, from 2017 to 2019 with key activities of organizing internal seminars on the project, seminars on introducing the project to partners and businesses and sending officers to attend training courses under the project. During implementation of the project, 18 students and 18 lecturers of the Institute will participate in mobility programs within around 02 weeks in Austria, UK, Spain, Malaysia and Thailand.
